Apparently my letting agent is a con artist.

I found out today that the details she gave me for online banking are false (OK, so my suspicions were arisin when I realised the company names were DIFFERENT!!!) but not only that, she's also been trying to overcharge me on rent. Hmmm... thankfully, I never did bother with online banking so there's no worry about WHERE THE HELL MY MONEY HAS GONE! And the following time I paid the month's rent another member of staff deducted the amount I'd been overcharged from the current rent... But still!!!

The only logical conclusion? She hates me, because she hates my father. Yep, that's correct.

First day I went, to collect my keys and this woman was bricking herself, because they'd lost my keys, and she told me, quite clearly "I'm so glad your dad hasn't come in here!" (he was waiting oh so patiently in the van). Later when he did arrive he just stood in the agency with his arms cross GLARING KNIVES at everybody (he's ex-military - those guys can LITERALLY do that) and she slunk off and hid.

Since then every conversation I've held with the woman has consisted of "I'm so glad you're dad isn't here!" and "I'm so glad I can't see you face to face, I feel so bad!!!". Horrifically timid, but essentially nice old lady or EVIL CON ARTIST??!?! I've made MY decision...

(yes, I am drunk, but every word is nonetheless true)
